Project with  EDF / SUPRA

This project will investigate the emotional relation we have with fire in the domestic environment using wood as the combustable material in order to rearticulate this understanding into new objects, services or systems that can reinforce these human experiences.

In our research we will try to understand Fire, Its origins, uses and the ambiguous relationship we have with it.

We will try to understand wood from Forest to Ash, we will look at how it's managed, transformed, stored, burnt and dealt with afterwards. Its relevance as a heat source today and its place within society tomorrow.

This study will help construct a basis for generating concepts for wood burning stoves, heat structures, ideas for wood storage, pellet management etc.

We could also investigate the service aspects of this energy source looking into inventing new cycle concepts and imagining new scenarios for wood combustion in a domestic environment.
