STAKES
Today, more and more, the interaction with the object is done by the means of a screen.
The user unrolls menus, clicks on icons, actuates keys of navigations for finally reaching the function he needs. My objectives are to define a system of nonvisual interactions and to decline a vocabulary of interactions around this system.
OBJECT
My project is a MP3 player not larger than a dice to play. This one is made in a elastomer matter. It offers a flexible and different touched that the user usually knows. This die MP3 has neither screen, nor graphic sign of operation.
The functions to play its music are made way intuitive, by pressing the die, by shaining it, by making it turn... They are thanks to pressure sensor, tactile and accelerometer encrusted in the die, that is possible. Energy is delivered by a micro battery which is reloaded by induction. The loading of the music in the die is carried out starting from a computer and this, by a wireless technology. This technology is also used for the listening of the music through mini ear-phone placed in the hollow of the ears.
USAGE
D-PLAY allows the user to control his music without looking his MP3 player. the user-interaction just passes by gesture.
