STAKES
-If sound has a living character, how might we create a language -which fits with these characteristics ?
-Can sounds devices feed our imagination ?
-How to re-use objects which are already present in the house ?
-How can we create services that are linked to hardware, such as the hifi, and increase its value?
-To explode the Hifi across the house and to be able to control and listen to sound anywhere.
-To have an interface which is almost invisible but has a reactive existence: controlled by gestual movement.
-To have a representation of sound at the sound source and at the receptor .
-To design a language which is simple.
-To give a sensitive behaviour to any surface: object becomes interface.
OBJECT
I propose a hifi system without screen and switch, it is composed of one amplifier, one control and one speaker. People can buy other control and speaker. Each element is removable, it can put anywhere. When you fit the speaker into a control, its recognizes each other, so you can imagine many combinations : one control with two speakers, three controls
with one speaker...
The use is didactic, the texture of a control is a clue for make the right control gesture. We can control music closed eyes ! Then, surfaces where you put the control are tactil. So the object fits into the environnement. The house becomes sensitive.
