The subject for the diploma begins to take shape during the second year. It reflects the students own concerns and shows their capacity to project themselves into a professional context.
A process of research and analysis will lead students to identify specific needs, to define new uses and provide innovative solutions in their chosen field. A project tutor and the teaching team advise each student. Their project can be developed in partnership with a fashion, stage or industrial designer, an architect or a manufacturer. A written document accompanies the project explaining the student´s choices, the project's development and its goals.

An oral assessment takes place in September. Along with their diploma work, students present the work produced during the previous two years.
