Presentation

Theoretical and practical classes

The theoretical and practical classes allow students to reinforce their general culture, broaden their references, develop their critical thinking and learn to master professional tools. They draw on a range of disciplines, from human sciences to state-of-the-art technical knowledge and from art history to art and design know-how: drawing, modelling, model-making, photography, video, digital technologies... The classes provide students with fundamental knowledge; it is up to them to carry on exploring their respective fields by their own means. For certain fields, ENSCI proposes “creation studios” that allow students to deepen their knowledge and research: graphic design, sound, video and visual arts.

Accreditations

Accreditations are granted during dedicated resource centre weeks—the materials workshop, CAD/CAM studio, Digital studio, and photo-video-sound studio. They allow students to acquire good knowledge of the relevant field and enable access to these spaces when the supervisor is absent, subject to authorization.

Seminars

Headed by designers, teachers and other experts, these 35-hour seminars are designed to immerse students in a particular theme. Apart from preliminary seminars for new students, ENSCI also organizes international seminars as well.
