Lisières

New uses for textile borders

Diploma project in Textile Design of Marie Linder

Textile borders are often concealed in joints, overlaps and finishes. “Lisières” seeks to raise the status of the border to that of a significant contributor from textile manufacture to ultimate use. Through a number of different types of borders applied to domestic objects, the project proposes systems that use borders not only to finish an object, but also to extend it.
